To create work that invites us to see that the substance of experience is not prescribed but rather corporeally enacted from moment to moment. This “perceiver-dependant world” is proof positive of our capacity to influence what influences us; makes us aware that even if reality may be in part given, we can continually negotiate and widen the field of possible experience.
To utilize certain space's qualities, in order to point to personal phenomenon brought to us by our corporeal and intellectual senses.
To question technology’s intentions as a creator and mediator. Due to the fact that the work is comprised of many forms of technology, it inherently forces us to consider the acceptant, sometimes repulsed yet ever-growing dependency we have developed for it in our modern lives.
Sub theme: To experiment with the different variants that define certain technologies. I am in a constant state of play with foreign machines which ultimately bring me closer to understanding the ‘interconnectedness’ of our modern balancing act between the natural and the man-made.
To rupture visual/audio habits and models of perception that may limit sight and insight.
Sub theme: This has led to the disruption of the representational associations of sound, its textures and space, allowing us to delve deeper into its sensations and personal meanings.
To exemplify the notion of the everyday, highlighting instances that reward us for remaining in the present moment.
